Day One – Once we have collected all passengers from their agreed pick up points, we will make our way to the Tickled Trout Hotel Samlesbury. En-route we will call at Salford Quays. Salford Quays sits on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal. MediaCity can be found here along with museums such as The Lowry & Imperial War Museum North. On the newly redeveloped Central Bay you will find restaurants, cafes & bars making this the ideal place for a spot of lunch before continuing our journey to the hotel.
Day Two - Our day begins with a tour of the Ribble Valley. Learn about textile riots, ghostly sightings and unsolved murders. We aim to visit 5 inns (time permitting) during this tour to truly bring the tales to life. Lunch today will be served with views over Pendle Hill at the Calf’s Head, Worston. We will return to the hotel in time for the evening meal.
Day Three – Today our destination is Skipton and a cruise on the Leeds – Liverpool canal. Once again history is brought to life through tales passed down by the generations. We will return to the hotel in time to freshen up for the evening meal.
Day Four – This morning we have a guided tour of Pendle Witch country. Learn the history behind the most famous witch trial in England. The tour will help piece together a story that is hundreds of years old. To finish off the day we head to Samlesbury Hall, one of the most haunted locations in Britain. Explore the medieval house and discover the remarkable history behind it. You may even see the famous witch. We will return to the hotel in time for the evening meal.
