Five nights dinner, bed and breakfast at the Royal Esplande Hotel
Day One – You will be collected from your requested pick up point and taken with suitable stops en-route to the Royal Esplanade Hotel in Ryde.
Day Two – Newport is the venue for today’s exploring. Here you may wish to visit Carisbrooke Castle, the Museum of Island History, Monkey Haven and much more (entry not included – just suggestions). We then make our way to Havenstreet. In Havenstreet you will find the Museum, Discovery Centre and you may see the Bird of Prey demonstration. This would be the perfect place to grab a spot of lunch before we board the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
Day Three – After breakfast we start our scenic tour of the island. Our first stop will be in the lovely town of Shanklin, before continuing on to Yarmouth. On the way to Yarmouth we will visit the famous Needles (road permitting) before returning to the hotel in time for the evening meal.
Day Four – This morning we enjoy free time in the town of Cowes, onward then in the afternoon for a visit to Osborne House for our visit. Known as Queen Victoria’s famous country retreat Osborne House was built between 1845 and 1851. After her majesty’s first visit she said, “It is impossible to imagine a prettier spot”. The queen spent many happy times here with Prince Albert and their 9 children. This afternoon we enjoy free time in the town or Cowes before returning to the hotel for the evening meal.
Day Five – Today is free for you to explore Ryde. The hotel is perfectly situated on Ryde Esplanade and is within easy walking distance of glorious sandy beaches and the very pretty Ryde Harbour. The town is home to lovely boutique shops and award winning restaurants
Day Six - Sadly today we must leave the Isle of Wight behind and make our way home. We set off after breakfast for the ferry crossing back to the mainland and start to make our way back to Lincolnshire and your original boarding points. We will, of course, have suitable stops en-route.
