Four nights dinner, bed & breakfast at the Royal Hotel, Whitby
Day 1 - Once we have collected all passengers from their agreed pick up points, we will begin our journey to Whitby. Calling en – route to York, within the city walls you will find cobbled streets & unique shops selling everything from sweets & gifts to film merchandise relating to the Harry Potter films that where partly created in the medieval lane, the Shambles. In the heart of the city you will find attractions such as The Chocolate Story & the Yorvik Viking Centre all payable locally. We continue our journey to Whitby mid-afternoon arriving in time for you to freshen up in time for the evening meal.
Day 2 – Today you are free to explore the seaside town of Whitby. Perhaps take the 199 steps to see the inspiration for Bram Stokers Dracula, the ruined Abbey. Take a stroll through the whale bone arch on the west cliff or visit the home of Captain Cook where you will find paintings and old maps on display. We ask you to be back at the hotel in time for the evening meal.
Day 3 – Our first stop today is the market town of Kirbymoorside. This quaint market town is home to art galleries, workshops & antique showrooms. There will be time for lunch before we make our way to one of the most beautiful villages in England, Thornton le Moor. Both our destinations for today have appeared on the TV shows the Yorkshire Auction House and Bangers & Cash. We will return to the hotel in time for the evening meal.
Day 4 – Today you are free to explore Whitby. If you didn’t sample the famous Whitby Scampi this may be the perfect opportunity. Again we ask you to be back at the hotel in time for the evening meal.
Day 5 – Unfortunately today we must leave the Yorkshire seaside behind and make our way back to Lincolnshire. En route we will spend time in
Pickering. With lots of fabulous independent shops, cafes and museums you will feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Mid-afternoon we continue on our homeward journey.
