Four nights dinner, bed & breakfast staying at the Riverside Hotel Kendal
Day 1 – Once we have collected all passengers from their agreed pick up point we will make our way to Kendal. On the way we will call at Skipton. The famous market town is surrounded by stunning scenery which makes it the perfect spot to stretch your legs before we continue the journey to the Lake District
Day 2 – Our first destination today is Keswick. The ever popular North Lakes town sits between Skiddow and Derwentwater. Offering a wide variety of attractions such as shops, museums and restaurants. Our second destination is Ullswater for a cruise on a steamer from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding. Sit back and relax on the soothing lake as we travel along the beautiful Kirkstone Pass.
Day 3 – We begin our day with a train journey. All aboard the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway as we whizz by the scenery of the Leven Valley (trains may be either steam or diesel). We then head to Windermere for a delightful cruise along England’s largest lake. Our day is completed with free time in Kendal. Home of the famous Kendal mint cake the market town is filled with bustling shops, museums, bars and restaurants.
Day 4 – Today we take a ride on Lakeland’s oldest and longest railway. Enjoy a journey from Ravenglass through two glorious valleys to the foot of England’s highest mountains to Dalegarth and back again (trains may be steam or diesel). We finish the day with a trip to the Edwardian resort of Grange Over Sands. Known for the length of the Promenade the elegant town offers views over Morecombe Bay along with ornamental gardens, quaint shopping arcades, bars and restaurants.
Day 5 –
We must leave the Lake District today and make our way back to Lincolnshire. On the way we will call at Settle. An ancient picturesque market town full of history and culture make Settle a great place to grab a spot of lunch before we return all passengers to their agreed pick up point.
