Weston Super Mare

Four nights dinner, bed & breakfast staying at the Smith's Hotel

Day 1 – Once we have collected all passengers from their agreed pick up points we will make our way to Weston Super Mare. We will make comfort stops along the way. A warm welcome awaits us at Smiths Hotel along with tea, coffee and porterage.

Day 2 – This morning you are free to explore Weston Super Mare. Enjoy a stroll along the seafront to the Grand Pier. Art galleries and museums are scattered throughout the centre of the seaside resort along with a number of restaurants, bars, shops and souvenir booths. This afternoon we make our way to Oakham Treasures. Inside the largest privately owned museum you will find memorabilia of retail and farming history in the UK from the last century.

Day 3 – Following breakfast we will depart for the cathedral city of Wells. The Somerset city is located on the edge of the Mendip Hills. The local market selling a wide range of delicious food and artisan crafts can be found in the Market Place. If shopping is not for you, there is the cathedral to visit. Built between 1175 and 1490 it has been described as “the most poetic of the English Cathedrals.” Next to the cathedral is what is believed to be the only full medieval street left in England. The Bishop’s Palace has been home to Bishops of Bath and Wells for almost a century. The medieval palace is now open to visitors. This afternoon we head to the town of Glastonbury. The town is well known for myths and legends from the ruins of the Abbey to the burial place of King Arthur there is history to be seen all over the town.
 
Day 4 – Today we make our way to Bath. The Romans named the city after they created the “Baths” which are still in use today, although there is now a modern option of the Thermae Bath Spa which is the only natural thermal hot spring you can bathe in, in the country. In the centre you will find everything you need for a perfect day out. Museums, galleries, independent shops, restaurants and cafes are housed in stunning Georgian buildings that line the streets. The iconic Royal crescent can be seen as you enter the city and has housed celebrities such as Johnny Depp & Nicholas Cage.

Day 5 – We must make our return journey today. We will have regular comfort breaks on the way back to Lincolnshire and your original pick up points.
