Cambridge & Bletchley Park

Four nights dinner, bed & breakfast at the Cambridge Belfry Hotel

Day 1 - Once we have collected all passengers from the agreed pick up points we will make our way to Cambridge. Enjoy free time in the city before we make our way to the hotel in time to freshen up for the evening meal. The Belfry Hotel & Spa sits 8 miles west of Cambridge making it an ideal base for our holiday.

Day 2 – Today we make our way to the home of the WWII code breakers, Bletchley Park. See the past come to life in the restored rooms of Bletchley as you learn how the top secret code breakers lead by Alan Turing developed the Enigma machine which, is believed to of shortened the war by several years. History is reawakened by short films, interactive displays and collections. Please feel free to use the multimedia guide during your visit.

·    Please note entry to the National Museum of Computing is not included – this can be paid for on the day if you wish to enter.

·    As Bletchley Park involves both indoor & outdoor attractions please ensure you have suitable clothing and footwear.

Day 3 – After breakfast we have arranged a guided coach tour of the University City of Cambridge. View the delights of this beautiful city from the comfort of your seat before you are free to explore Cambridge by foot or go punting on the River Cam. There really is something for everyone from shopping to history. We will return to the hotel in time for the evening meal.

Day 4 – Our destination today is the home of Oliver Cromwell, Ely. Enjoy free time exploring the second smallest city in England. You will find a mini market in the market place along with boutique shops, cafes, restaurants & even a brewery. Ely Cathedral (payable locally) has been the location for films such as The King’s Speech, Macbeth & the TV series The Crown. We will return to the hotel in time for you to freshen up for the evening meal.

Day 5 – Today we make our way back to Lincolnshire & our original boarding points. En-route we will call at Lincoln for some retail therapy or a spot of lunch before returning home.
