where a glass of schnapps will be served on arrival.

Day Three – Today we have left free for you to explore the area at your leisure.

Day Four – Today we leave the Rhine behind for a while as we head to the lovely town of Cochem on the Mosel. You will find the best way to make sure you see everything is on the Mosel-Wein-Express, a little tourist train that takes you around the town. Take a walk along the steep path to the fantastic castle. On the bridge just near the Tourist Information Centre is a

mural depicting the family tree of the town.

Day 5 - After breakfast, we set off on the beautiful journey to the winemaking town of Rudesheim am Rhein. Take a walk down the Drosselgasse, one of Rudesheims greatest claims to fame, this is a tiny street originally used by fisherman and sailors to get to the river from their homes. It is filled with lovely little shops selling local crafts also cafes, bars & beerhalls. If you take a walk down the Oberstrasse, a very long road, you will see half-timbered houses and quaint shops. This is also where you will find the Foltermuseum – that’s the medieval torture museum to us! Make sure you look up at the fabulous old fashioned signs. You may wish to take a cruise past the Loreley Rock or use the cable car to the Nielderwald Monument. From here there are amazing views over the Rhine – not to be missed.

Day Six – After breakfast we set off for the delightfully picturesque town of Linz am Rhein. Spend the morning exploring, see the colourful half-timbered houses, wander around the unique shops, great cafes, restaurants and the historic, traditional buildings. Afterwards we head towards Koblenz, a German city situated on both banks of the Rhine at its confluence with the Moselle, where the Deutsches Eck and its monument are situated. After having seen the Deutsches Eck walk to the side where you will find the Mosel River. Here you have the most beautiful view of the old town of Koblenz. Walk along this river front to get back to the point where you began – the Deutshe Kaiser. While walking along the Mosel, keep looking to your left for three white slabs of concrete, which are pieces of the Berlin Wall brought to Koblenz after the fall of the wall on 9th November 1989. In Koblenz you will find the Basilica St Kastor built in the 800s which is absolutely beautiful and well worth a look.

Day Seven/Eight – Sadly today we must leave Kamp Bornhofen behind and make our way back to Rotterdam for the overnight crossing to Hull. You will have time to explore Rotterdam before boarding the ferry. In the morning, once we disembark, we return you to Lincolnshire and your original boarding points.
