Yorkshire Wildlife Park

Three nights dinner, bed & breakfast at the Hex Hotel

Day 1 - Once all passengers have been collected from the agreed pick up points we will make our way to Doncaster. Doncaster was recently given City status. In the city centre there is a wealth of cafes, restaurants, art galleries. Museums, the minster, shops or even try your hand at axe throwing (payable locally).

We will make our way to the Hex Wildlife Hotel in time for our evening meal. The hotel is located in the Yorkshire Hive just metres from Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

Day 2 – After breakfast, we make our way to the World of James Herriot. Today we venture into the world of the Yorkshire vet and see where the famous vet brought to life the stories of his working life as a young vet. Travel back in time to the renovated 1940s home & surgery. Try life as a vet or can you beat the interactive games? This afternoon we make our way to the traditional market town of Thirsk. With a traditional cobbled market place and a number of former coaching inns, this is the ideal spot for lunch and to browse the boutique style shops. We will return to the hotel in time for the evening meal.

Day 3 – Today we have the day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. You are free to explore the park on your own; we just ask that you are back in the hotel in time for the evening meal. Yorkshire Wildlife Park opened its doors in 2009 and has now become a centre for conservation and welfare for over 250 animals. If you are an animal lover you will be in your element as the park is home to Polar Bears, Lions, Tigers, Cheetahs, Giraffes, Red Pandas, Leopards, Rhinos & a whole lot more. During your visit there are various talks for you to learn more about the animals and don’t miss feeding time. The hotel is metres from Yorkshire Wildlife Park so please return to the hotel in time for the evening meal.

Day 4 – Sadly we must leave the animals behind and make our way back to Lincolnshire. En route we will call at Brodsworth Hall & Gardens. Brodsworth Hall was the home of the Thellusson family back in the 1860s, the family lost their fortune so the maintenance of the house and gardens became impossible for them. After being restored the visitors are now welcome to experience the house in its full glory and take a stroll through the listed gardens. This afternoon we make our way to the Lakeside Village Shopping Outlet. At the outlet you will find big brand names at discount prices with some stores offering up to 60% off recommended retail prices. We will return to your original boarding points.
